Scenes of Christmas

Just like a movie, the Christmas story unfolds scene by scene until the climax: the arrival of Jesus. As with any story, the development of the plot helps set the stage for the main event. When looking at the scenes leading up to the manger, we must remember that these aren't throw away narratives. They were included in the Gospels for a purpose, and have great significance even for today.
